Manage buyer home content

Storefront > Themes is where you design what buyers see, on your web portal and in the buyer mobile app, with no development work needed. One theme holds your home page, the shared header and footer, and the templates for search, category, brand and product pages.

The older Buyer Home content manager has been retired. Themes replaces it. Your existing home sections are not lost: use Start from my Home CMS (below) to bring them into your theme.

Before you start

  • Set up your categories and brands first. Catalog sections such as category tiles and brand strips are built from them.
  • Publishing needs the Publish storefront permission. Without it you can edit the draft but not make it live.

Edit your home page

  1. Go to Storefront > Themes.
  2. Choose the page to edit (the home page opens first).
  3. Click Add section, or a + in the preview, and pick a section: banners, slideshows, category tiles, brand strips, quick links, promo tiles and more.
  4. Select a section to change its words, pictures and links. Drag sections to reorder them.

Your changes save as a draft automatically. Buyers don't see them until you publish.

Choose where a section shows

When you select a section, Show on is at the top of its settings: Website + App, Website only or App only. The buyer app draws a set of section types natively. A section it can't draw is marked Web only and shows on your portal alone.

A section set to App only is not on your website. In the editor it looks faded, with an App only · not on your website label. Click Show on website on that label to put it back on the website.

To take a section off everywhere without deleting it, use Hide from the section's menu.

Publish and roll back

  1. Click Preview to see the page as buyers will.
  2. Click Publish. Buyers see the published version on the portal and in the app. If a page would show buyers nothing (for example, every section on Home is App only), the editor asks first. Click Go back to fix it, or Publish anyway.
  3. To go back to an earlier version, open Version history from the … menu and make that version live again.

Bring in your old home sections

If you used the Buyer Home content manager before, open the … menu and choose Start from my Home CMS. The editor shows what it will add and where. Nothing changes until you click Add to draft, and nothing is published until you click Publish.

A quick link or promo tile can open a product finder in the buyer app. In the tile's Link field, choose Product Finder and pick it. You can also start from Storefront > Product Finders: see Set up product finders.

Branding and buyer features

Your logo, portal address, buyer features (pricing, direct orders, guest browsing) and support details are in Settings > Buyer App & Portal.
