Transfer stock between warehouses

Stock transfers move stock from one warehouse to another, keeping per-warehouse quantities accurate when you rebalance or relocate inventory.

Note: Availability of this feature depends on your subscription plan. Your Growmax representative can confirm what your plan includes.

Before you start

• You need at least two warehouses, managed in Settings. See Configure warehouses and inventory settings.
• Check that the source warehouse has enough available stock. See View stock levels.

Create a transfer

1. Go to Inventory > Stock Transfers.
2. Create a new transfer.
3. Select the source and destination warehouses, the product variants, and the quantities to move.
4. Save the transfer.

A new stock transfer starts with the warehouse to move stock from and the warehouse to move it to.

What happens next

• Per-warehouse stock levels reflect the move.
• The transfer is recorded in the stock movements audit trail. See Track stock movements.

Tips

• Use transfers to rebalance stock toward warehouses with open-order reservations, so fulfilment is not blocked by stock sitting in the wrong location.
