Create a stock adjustment

Stock adjustments correct your quantities — for example, after a stocktake or to write off damaged goods. Adjustments execute immediately and are reflected in stock levels straight away.

Before you start

  • Know the warehouse and variant you are correcting. Check current quantities first in View stock levels.

Create the adjustment

  1. Go to Inventory > Stock Adjustments.
  2. Create a new adjustment.
  3. Select the warehouse and the product variant, and enter the corrected quantity.
  4. Save the adjustment — it executes immediately.

A new stock adjustment: pick the warehouse, the variant, the change and the reason.

What happens next

  • Stock levels update straight away — on-hand, reserved, and available quantities reflect the correction.
  • The adjustment appears in the stock movements audit trail. See Track stock movements.

Tips

  • Because adjustments take effect immediately, double-check the warehouse, variant, and quantity before saving.
  • Writing off damaged supplier deliveries? Record them as rejected on the goods receipt note instead, so they never enter stock. See Receive goods with a goods receipt note.
