Set prices and quantity tiers
Growmax ARC prices your catalog at the variant level — every variant carries its own cost, list price, and sale price — and lets you offer volume discounts through quantity-tier pricing on pack definitions, so bigger orders automatically get better per-unit prices.
Before you start
- Create the product and its variants first. See Products and variants.
Set prices on a variant
- Go to Products and open the product in the full product editor.
- For each variant, enter its cost, list price, and sale price.
- Save the product.
Update a price quickly from the list
- Go to Products.
- Find the product in the catalog list.
- Edit the price inline, directly in the list — without opening the product.
Set up quantity-tier pricing
Quantity tiers are price breaks by volume, defined per unit of measure on a pack definition (for example, a lower price per piece when buying a case).
- Go to Products and open the product in the full product editor.
- Define the product's packs — for example, a case of 12. See Units of measure and packs.
- Enter the quantity-tier pricing per unit of measure: the price that applies at each volume break.
- Save the product.
Your buyers see tiered pricing on the Buyer Mobile App's product pages, so the volume discount is visible before they add to cart.
Tips
- Price breaks only apply where they are defined — set tiers on each pack and unit of measure where you want volume pricing to kick in.
- Use inline price editing for quick, one-off price changes across several products; use the full editor when you are setting up tiers and packs.
- For time-limited or customer-specific discounts, use discount schemes instead of changing base prices. See Create discount schemes.
