Connect AI agents to ARC
ARC is an MCP server. The same assistant that runs inside the Admin Console can also drive Claude Desktop, claude.ai, ChatGPT, Cursor, and any other client that speaks MCP — so you can ask your own agent about products, stock, quotes, and orders instead of opening the console. What the agent can do is what your own role can do — nothing more.
Before you start
- Minori must be enabled for your plan, and your account needs the Minori chat permission — the same requirements as the in-app assistant. See User roles and signing in.
- Ask your administrator which address you already use to open the Admin
Console. That same origin is the agent address. In the snippets below it
is written
<api>— for exampleyour-company.growmax.dev. The full server URL ishttps://<api>/mcp. - You sign in with your Growmax account — in a browser window that pops up the first time, on your own Admin Console address. If you were not already signed in there, sign in and you are brought straight back to the approval screen. You never give the agent a database URL, an API key, a tenant name, or a password. If a guide tells you to, it is describing something ARC does not use.
- The server calls itself "Growmax ARC" and carries the red Growmax mark as its icon. Clients that show server names and icons (Cursor, the MCP Inspector, and others) display exactly that; claude.ai and ChatGPT currently show their own generic icon for custom connectors, so the name you give the connector is what you will see there.
Claude Desktop
- Open Claude Desktop → Settings → Connectors and add a custom connector
whose server URL is
https://<api>/mcp. - Claude discovers sign-in by itself. A browser window opens — sign in with your Growmax account, check that the screen names your organization, and click Allow.
- Back in Claude, the ARC tools appear. The list is filtered to your permissions: a role that cannot create quotes never sees the quote-creation tools.
You can also add the server through a config file (Claude Desktop and several
other clients read an mcp.json):
{
"mcpServers": {
"growmax-arc": {
"url": "https://<api>/mcp",
"auth": "oauth"
}
}
}
claude.ai
- Open claude.ai → Settings → Connectors and choose to add a custom connector (in the Advanced section, if your view shows one).
- Paste the server URL
https://<api>/mcpand add it. - Sign in with your Growmax account in the window that opens and approve.
claude.ai can only reach addresses on the public internet — use your hosted
<api> origin, not a local one.
ChatGPT (developer mode)
- In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced and turn on Developer mode.
- Create a connector with the server URL
https://<api>/mcp. - Complete the sign-in in the browser window that opens and approve the organization shown.
Like claude.ai, ChatGPT needs a public https:// address. ChatGPT also opens
and closes connections more often than desktop clients — ARC handles that
without dropping anything.
Cursor
- Open Cursor → Settings → MCP (or edit the MCP list in your settings).
- Add a server by URL:
https://<api>/mcp, then sign in with your Growmax account in the window that opens. - The ARC tools show up in Cursor's tool list, filtered to your role.
How the agent works safely inside ARC
- Asking questions is always safe. Reading products, stock, quotes, orders, invoices, and outstanding balances changes nothing.
- Changes follow the same card rule as the in-app assistant. The agent proposes the change, shows you exactly what will happen — the customer, the lines, the prices — and only writes when you confirm. Saying "yes, go ahead" in chat is not the confirmation; the agent asks for an explicit approval, and one approval applies one change.
- Prices always come from ARC's pricing engine — the agent never invents a figure, and the amount you approve is the amount that gets saved. If a line cannot be priced in that currency, ARC says so rather than guessing.
- Everything is audited under your name. Tool calls run with your permissions, in your organization, with your account attached.
Tips
- Be specific — "create a draft quote for 50 of SKU NW-1001 for Al Baker Trading" gets one clean proposal; "quote something for Al Baker" gets questions.
- Review a proposal's lines before approving it, exactly as you would a card in the console.
- If a tool is missing from the agent, it is a permission or plan gap for your role — the same gap shows in the Admin Console. There is no second, wider agent.
- To stop access, disconnect the connector in your agent's settings; the connection is your Growmax account, so removing it removes the agent's access.
