User roles and signing in
Growmax ARC uses role-based access control, so each person on your team sees and does exactly what their job requires. An administrator sets up users, teams, and roles; everyone else simply signs in to the app meant for them.
Before you start
- Your organization must be set up and at least one administrator account created — this happens during onboarding with your Growmax representative.
Sign in to the Admin Console
- Open the Admin Console web app in your browser.
- Enter your account credentials.
- You land on your role-scoped dashboard — the picture relevant to your job.
Understand roles and permissions
Roles control two things for every user:
- Granular permissions — which actions the user can perform, defined per role in a full role & permission editor.
- Data visibility scoping — whether the user sees their own records, their team's records, or all records.
Roles and permissions are managed by an administrator:
- Go to Settings > Users & Teams.
- Create or edit roles using the role & permission editor with granular permissions.
- Assign users to roles and organize them into teams.
How your buyers and field reps sign in
- Buyers (Customer Portal): your customers register for an account on your web storefront and log in. New registrations can be approved from the Admin Console's Pending Approvals tab.
- Buyers (Buyer Mobile App): buyers sign in with a one-time code (OTP) sent by email or WhatsApp — no password needed.
- Field sales representatives: reps use the Field Sales Mobile App to see their journey plans, capture orders offline, and view their quotes, orders, invoices, and commissions.
Tips
- Keep permissions tight: give field reps access to what they need on the road, and reserve financial and settings permissions for back-office roles.
- Use team visibility for sales managers so they can see their reps' records without opening up the whole organization.
