Work with Minori

Minori is the AI assistant built into the Admin Console. It reads your data and proposes work — organizing a supplier file into a catalog, creating a customer, drafting a priced quote — but it never changes anything on its own. Review a proposal, choose Approve, then choose Apply to execute it. Approval alone does not apply a catalog change.

Before you start

  • Minori must be enabled for your plan. If the menu item is missing, ask your administrator — it is a plan feature.
  • You need the right permissions. Chatting requires the Minori chat permission; attaching supplier files to be parsed requires the Minori parse permission. If your account lacks chat access, the page tells you so rather than showing an error. See User roles and signing in.
  • Minori uses AI credits. Check your balance under Settings > AI Credits; the credit indicator in the Minori header shows where you stand.
  • Minori acts with your own permissions — it can never do something your account is not allowed to do.

Start a conversation

  1. Open Minori from the main menu.
  2. Type what you want in plain language, or pick one of the suggested prompts.
  3. Attach a file with the attach button if you are working from a supplier list — spreadsheets (.xlsx), .csv, and .pdf files can be parsed, and you can attach images.

Use New chat to start a fresh thread, and open the conversation history to return to an earlier one. Conversations are saved, so you can close the page and pick a thread back up later.

Read and continue a reply

The conversation uses a centered reading column, larger text, and a composer that stays below the scrolling messages. Suggested prompts use neutral tasks such as drafting a quote, checking stock, reviewing recent orders, and finding missing images. When your catalog is empty, they focus on importing a product list and adding a customer. They fill the composer for you to edit; they do not send automatically. Press Enter to send or Shift + Enter for a new line. Confirming text with an input method does not send your message.

While a reply is running, Minori shows the current operation, or Thinking, Working, or Responding as appropriate. A subtle moving highlight indicates live activity and respects your reduced-motion setting. Open Activity to inspect earlier steps; failures remain visible. Once the turn finishes, Worked opens the activity history, and Thinking opens reasoning only when it was supplied.

Choose Stop generating to stop the response; that turn is marked Response stopped. An empty answer offers a retry or an editable request. Copy, retry, and feedback controls appear together beneath finished replies; keyboard focus reveals them, and they stay visible on touch devices. Scrolling up keeps your place; Jump to latest returns to the newest content.

Open Minori from anywhere (⌘K / Ctrl-K)

You do not have to be on the Minori page to use it. Press ⌘K on Mac or Ctrl-K on Windows or Linux from any Admin Console page to open the Minori launcher as a drawer over your current work; press Esc to dismiss it. You can also choose Minori in the top app bar; the shortcut appears beside it on larger screens. On a phone, use the chat icon. The launcher follows the same plan-feature and permission gates as the Minori page itself.

A few quality-of-life touches in the thread view:

  • Slash commands — type / in the composer to open the slash-command menu of preset actions.
  • Thread rename — rename any thread from the thread list to keep conversations findable.
  • Reply feedback — hover a Minori reply to rate it, so the team can track answer quality.
  • Stay in sync — threads update across browser tabs, and if a reply is still generating when you navigate away, the thread picks the active answer back up when you return.

Review and approve proposal cards

Minori's chat replies never change your data. When it wants to make a change, it shows a card — a category tree, a product with its variants, a customer or supplier, a quote draft, a sales order, a purchase order, or an email draft.

Review the proposed values before choosing Approve, then Apply. Use Edit where the card supports it, or ask Minori for a revised proposal. Choose Reject to discard an unwanted proposal.

On desktop, cards appear beside the conversation when there is work to review. You can resize the split. On smaller screens, open the review from the conversation when you are ready; an arriving card does not interrupt your message.

Use the named review links in a reply to open each proposal. If another proposal arrives while you are reviewing, New review ready lets you open it when you are ready without replacing your current review. The Work heading identifies the proposal you have open.

After execution, inspect the recorded results. Partially applied means some rows succeeded and others failed; No changes means the recorded catalog operation changed no rows. If historical results cannot be loaded, use Refresh results. Do not infer success from the original proposal values. A recorded rollback describes the execution history, not today's stock balances.

Saying "yes, go ahead" in the chat is not enough; Minori will point you back at the card. This is deliberate — the card is the only way data changes, so you always see exactly what will happen before it does.

A catalog import puts each product together with its pack sizes, colours, category, and filter attributes on one Product list card. You approve the group; ARC never creates a product without at least one variant. If you later add extra packs to products that already exist in the catalog, those land on a new Variant matrix card. A Variant matrix adds new variants; it cannot update existing SKUs. Ask for a product update for existing prices or a stock adjustment for existing inventory, specifying the warehouse and intended quantity. Minori cannot change a confirmed sales order in chat.

For a proposed Variant matrix, Edit lets you correct new SKUs, minimum order quantities, opening stock, and its warehouse. Opening stock is the initial quantity for a new variant, not an adjustment to an existing one. Positive opening stock requires an active warehouse. Saving returns the proposal for fresh review; cancelling keeps its previous values. Prices remain visible during correction. You can also enter an explicit source amount, source currency, pricing multiplier and destination currency for a new variant. ARC calculates the proposed price on the server, validates the destination against your organization currency, and asks you to review the saved result. This is your pricing rule, not a fetched exchange rate. Historical amounts without currency metadata remain labelled as such.

Product images are a separate image-sourcing card after the variants exist in the catalog. Review the product, SKU, source, and confidence for each match. Use Edit to exclude rows or supply a replacement image URL, including for an unmatched variant. A supplied image is labelled as yours and has no automated match score. Save and review the proposal before approving it; excluded variants stay unchanged. Reject the proposal if none of its images should be used. Applying the card includes matched rows only; ask Minori to find images for the remaining variants.

Minori opens on a chat. Ask for a quote, a stock check or a summary; anything that would change data comes back as a card for you to approve.

Review changes to existing catalog records

A product update shows the captured and proposed values side by side. Clearing a sale price is explicit. Quantity pricing shows the old and proposed ladders and states when the whole ladder will be replaced.

A stock adjustment identifies the SKU and warehouse and shows captured on-hand, signed quantity change, and projected on-hand. Apply uses that quantity change; it does not set a guaranteed target balance. Stock movements after the preview may change the result. An untracked balance is different from zero. Request a revised proposal if the captured data or intended change needs correction.

What Minori can do

It can read and explain across products, customers, pricing, discounts, quotes, and orders — ask it why a price came out the way it did, or what a customer has ordered.

It can propose changes to your catalog, your customers and suppliers, your quotes, and a new sales order or purchase order (including converting a quote to a sales order). A confirmed order cannot be edited in chat — Minori will mint a new card instead. Discount schemes stay read-only — ask Minori about them, but create them in their own screens.

What Minori remembers about you

Minori can save short facts about how you work, such as a currency you quote in or a margin floor you set yourself. They carry across to new chats, so a rule you state once does not have to be repeated. Facts are saved for you, not for your colleagues.

Minori saves a fact only when you state it as a standing rule or preference, in words such as "remember that…", "always…", "never…", "from now on…" or "by default…". The fact has to be there in your own message, in your own words. A one-off instruction ("for this quote", "just for now") is never saved, and neither is a question you ask. Saving happens after Minori has answered, so its reply does not confirm the save. To see what was kept, use the list described below.

Each fact is one of three kinds. A constraint is a rule you set and Minori is expected to honour. A preference is a default it will lean on. Context is background. Restating something more firmly can turn a preference into a constraint; simply asking Minori to repeat a rule back to you never weakens it.

Minori refuses to keep anything that looks like an identifier — a bank account or IBAN, an email address, an API key, a long number — so those never reach its memory even if you paste them.

Review and delete what it remembers

Open Settings > Minori Memory to see everything Minori has saved about you: the fact, its value, its kind, and when it last changed.

  • Forget on a row removes that one fact. Minori stops using it from your next message onward.
  • Forget all clears everything it has saved about you, after a confirmation.

Deleting is immediate and needs no approval — it is your own memory. Minori can save a fact again later if it comes up in a new conversation and you state it again, so deleting is not a permanent block.

You can also just ask in chat: "what do you remember about me?" lists the facts, and "forget my margin rule" removes one.

Organization-wide rules, such as the column mapping or pricing rule saved for one supplier's file, are shared by everyone in your organization. They are shown separately and read-only, and seeing them at all needs permission to read organization settings. Neither this page nor a chat with Minori can change or delete them today.

Turn memory off

On the same page, switch off Learn from my conversations. While it is off, Minori does not use or save anything about you. Facts already saved stay until you forget them, so you can still review and delete them here. If your organization has set a default and you have not set the switch yourself, the switch follows that default and the page says so.

Review where prices come from

Quote and order line prices, discounts, taxes, and totals use the same pricing engine as documents you build by hand. Catalog proposals can instead contain supplier amounts or values you supplied. Review their provenance and currency; an explicit catalog multiplier is calculated and verified by the server before it is applied.

If a document line cannot be priced in its currency, the proposal should identify that missing price. A source amount without a currency is not evidence of a converted price.

Connect Claude Desktop or Hermes

The same Minori that runs in the Admin Console is also an MCP server. You can attach Claude Desktop, Nous Hermes, or any MCP client that supports OAuth — they talk to Growmax ARC the same way the in-app assistant does. What you can do is what your role can do.

You do not give the client a database URL, a tenant name, or an API key. You sign in with your Growmax account. Organization and permissions come from that login.

Before you connect

  • Minori must be enabled for your plan, and your account needs the Minori chat permission — the same requirements as the in-app assistant.
  • Ask your administrator for the address you already use to open the Admin Console — that same origin is the API host. In the snippets below it is written as <api> (for example your-company.growmax.dev). Do not point the client at a separate database or a local stdio server.

Claude Desktop

  1. Open Claude Desktop → Settings → Connectors.
  2. Add a custom connector whose server URL is https://<api>/mcp.
  3. Claude discovers login at https://<api>/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server (OAuth 2.1, authorization code + PKCE). Sign in with your Growmax account and Allow.
  4. The tools Claude lists are the tools your role is allowed to use. Writes still go through propose, then apply with an explicit confirm — saying "yes" in chat is not enough. Claude can also pick a prompt (catalog import, quote/sales order, customer/supplier, or create-from-URL) — those are the same skills the in-app assistant loads on Balanced/High.

You can also put this in an mcp.json (Claude Desktop / Cursor / other MCP clients that read that file):

{
"mcpServers": {
"growmax-arc": {
"url": "https://<api>/mcp",
"auth": "oauth"
}
}
}

Hermes

Nous Hermes (and clients that take an mcp_servers map) use the same OAuth MCP — not a local stdio server:

{
"mcp_servers": {
"growmax-arc": {
"url": "https://<api>/mcp",
"auth": "oauth"
}
}
}

Discovery is the same URL: https://<api>/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server.

Do not add a tenant field. Do not put DATABASE_URL (or any database credential) in the client. Those belong to a retired local stdio server that is not the product Minori.

Tips

  • Be specific about the customer and the quantity — "50 of X-200 for Acme Traders" gets further than "a quote for Acme".
  • If Minori cannot find a customer or product, it says so and offers the nearest matches. It will not invent one.
  • If a response is empty, choose Retry or Edit request to recover.
  • Made a typo? Hover your own message and use Edit to correct it and send again.
  • Review a quote draft's lines before approving, exactly as you would a quote you typed yourself.
  • An external MCP client sees the same tools your role sees in the Admin Console. If a tool is missing, it is a permission or plan-feature gap, not a second product. Tools carry a human title and safety hints (read-only vs apply). The four Minori skills are also available as MCP prompts.
