Give your buyers a self-service portal
The Customer Portal is a web storefront you give to your buyers, so they can serve themselves — browsing your catalog, ordering, paying, and tracking — without calling your sales team. Your customers can browse categories, brands, and products, search the catalog, register for an account, and place orders on desktop or mobile web.
Before you start
- Configure the portal for your organization in Settings > Portal configuration.
- Brand the buyer-facing experience with your logo and identity in Settings > App branding, and optionally serve the storefront on your own domain in Settings > Custom domains.
- Make sure your catalog is ready: buyers see the products, categories, and brands you maintain in the Admin Console.
What your customers can do on the portal
- Browse and search — buyers explore your catalog by category and brand, and search for products directly.
- Register and log in — buyers register for an account on the storefront. New signups land in the Admin Console's Pending Approvals tab, so you control who gets access.
- Order and pay — buyers use a full cart and checkout, with branch support for customers who have multiple locations. See How buyers order on the portal.
- Manage their own accounts — buyer admins invite their own users, manage delivery addresses, and run internal order approvals. See Buyer accounts, teams, and approvals.
- Self-serve after the sale — buyers track orders, view invoices, view and accept quotes, submit returns requests, and reorder from saved shopping lists.
Approve new buyer signups
New registrations from your storefront do not get access automatically — you approve them first.
- Go to the customer list in the Admin Console and open the Pending Approvals tab.
- Review the waiting signups, which are grouped per sales representative. A sidebar badge shows how many are waiting.
- Activate or reject signups, individually or with bulk actions.
Tips
- Approving signups promptly matters: a buyer can only browse, order, and pay once their registration is activated.
- Buyers who prefer ordering from their phones can use the Buyer Mobile App, which shares the same catalog and your branding.
- Online payments at checkout are processed through your connected payment gateways — Growmax ARC integrates with Stripe and Razorpay (see Settings > Integrations).
