Create and send quotes
Quotes are where selling starts in Growmax ARC. Build a quote with the customer, products, quantities, and pricing; send it by tracked email so you can see when the customer opens it; and keep the whole conversation on the quote itself. When the customer accepts, convert the quote into a sales order with one action.
Before you start
- Create the customer and the products (with prices) first. See Manage customers and Products and variants.
Create a quote
- Go to Sales > Quotes.
- Create a new quote.
- Add the customer, then the products, quantities, and pricing for each line.
- Review the quote and save it.
Sales > Quotes lists every quote with its status, customer, total and owner.
Send a quote by tracked email
- Go to Sales > Quotes and open the quote.
- Send the quote by email. The email is tracked with open and click tracking, so you can see whether the customer has viewed it.
- Watch the email thread on the quote itself — the customer's replies appear there, keeping the whole conversation in one place.
- Reply back from the same thread to continue the conversation.
Work with an existing quote
From Sales > Quotes, you can also:
- Duplicate a quote to create a new one quickly.
- Generate a PDF of the quote for sharing or printing.
- Cancel a quote that is no longer needed.
Convert an accepted quote to a sales order
- Go to Sales > Quotes and open the accepted quote.
- Select Convert to sales order — the quote becomes a sales order with one action. See Manage sales orders.
A quote: its lines, the customer and address, status, validity and email activity, with Convert to Sales Order at the top.
Tip: how quote outcomes work. A quote is considered won when it is converted into a sales order — there is no separate "mark as won/lost" button. Quotes that do not proceed can simply be cancelled. The quote's status reflects where it is in this lifecycle.
Tips
- Use the open and click tracking to time your follow-up — a customer who just opened the quote is a good reason to reply in the thread or pick up the phone.
- Customers using your Customer Portal can also view quotes sent to them and accept them online.
- Duplicate quotes for repeat business instead of rebuilding the same lines every time.
